About Dee

Filipina in Madrid.Dancer. Mama. Wanderer.

I'm Dee, a former McKinsey consultant, Latin Dancesport athlete and mom who refuses to let any one of those labels define her. I moved to Madrid with my husband Oliver and our son Theo, and somewhere between school runs and salsa classes, I started writing about the life we're building here.

I started competing internationally at 16, winning a historic first silver at the SEA Games and gold at the Asian Games. Today I work in digital product management, with 14+ years across startups and consulting, and this is my honest, joyful, sometimes chaotic account of motherhood abroad, movement as medicine, travel as education and the career I'm still building.
